Welcome to Asador La Guitarra Denia, a gem nestled in the heart of Dénia, Alicante, where the essence of Argentinian cuisine comes alive. Located at Carr. de Dénia A Xábia, 3B, 03700 Dénia, this steakhouse boasts a rustic yet inviting atmosphere, perfect for savoring the rich, robust flavors of South American fare.
What sets La Guitarra Denia apart is not just their passion for food, but the love that goes into every dish. The reviews say it all; guests rave about the quality of the meat, particularly the Ribeye Al punto, perfectly grilled to deliver an incredible depth of flavor complemented by seasonal vegetables. Tony Sapun, a self-proclaimed "food spoiled New Yorker," declares it as one of the best eateries he’s ever experienced. With every bite, you can taste the dedication that transforms a simple meal into a memorable feast.
But the culinary excellence doesn't stop with the steaks. The Ensalada Caprese stands out as a highlight, praised for its freshness and quality—so good, in fact, that one diner claimed it to be the best in Dénia. Coupled with their homemade Argentinian empanadas, bursting with savory bolognese-like filling, the offerings here make for a delightful adventure through flavors.
The service at Asador La Guitarra is equally impressive. Guests like Karl Chamandy-Cook frequently highlight the warmth and attentiveness of the staff, particularly Leo, whose welcoming demeanor makes every visit feel special. This personal touch contributes significantly to the cozy ambiance that makes the restaurant a favorite among both locals and visitors.
Whether you're indulging in a hearty meal indoors or enjoying the relaxed outdoor terrace across from the Troya market, Asador La Guitarra melds comfort with high-quality gastronomy seamlessly. The selection doesn’t only cater to meat-lovers; the thoughtfully curated wine lists feature both Argentinian and Spanish options, ensuring that everyone finds the perfect pairing for their meal.
In Dénia, if you're seeking a place where passion meets palate, Asador La Guitarra is undoubtedly worth making a reservation. Remember, as one satisfied customer noted, “Order anything from the menu, you WILL love it.” Ready your taste buds for an exceptional dining experience that brings the heart of Argentina right to the Spanish coastline!

We live in Valencia but have a place in Denia so are there often. One of our favorite places is La Guitarra pastelería and right next door their steakhouse, Asador La Guitarra. The pastelería is the perfect spot to stop for a pastry and coffee. We normally do that when we walk les Rotes. For a good steak at a reasonable price the Asador is excellent (we love the Ribeye Al punto with all its wonderful grilled vegetables!). But one of the main reasons we keep going back is the service and attention with such warmth and class. Leo especially. We met him first at the steakhouse where he served us. His kindness, attention, guidance for recommendations, always with a smile, won us over. Then he suggested we should come by the pastelería sometime. And so we did before walking les Rotes. And there Leo was to greet us. As kind, warm and attentive as he was at the Asador. He is one of the main reasons we keep going back. He makes us feel welcome.

Good meat has its price! It‘s a rustique atmosphere and friendly service. The food was very good and a concerning service. I very much like the wine - this time from Argentina - and watch out - they have two menues... one for Argentinian and one for Spanish wine. So we will be back

Great food, nice setting, great waitress, she single handedly served all the guests with a smile a sense of humour. The food was very good and well presented. The location is also right down the beach. They don’t speak English though , but menus have English translations. The only feedback would be , we would have liked a drink menu which was non-existent.

We love Ensalada Caprese. We frequently make Ensalada Caprese ourselves. We know Ensalada Caprese. La Guitarra has one of the best Ensalada Caprese anywhere and certainly here in Dénia. We’ve tried quite a few elsewhere and none are better. With the oven baked, piping hot, homemade torpedo shaped bread rolls to soak up the olive oil this combo is addicting. La Guitarra also has homemade Argentinian empanadas. Get the meat ones. They’re filled with a delicious bolognese-like filling. One is not enough. Two per person minimum mandatory. Hosts Margarita and Claudio are warm and welcoming. Cozy indoor dining room & bar and relaxed outdoor terrace. Across from Troya market and at Denia’s Marina.

We had a fantastic experience at this Argentinian restaurant! I had the chicken and it was perfectly cooked—juicy, flavorful, and well-seasoned. My son ordered the "Burgers for ninos" and absolutely loved it. My wife went with the rib eye, and it was tender, delicious, and cooked just the way she likes it. You can really taste the quality in everything they serve. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The only minor downside was that the knives didn’t seem quite up to the task for steaks, but that didn’t take away from the overall experience. We all left full and happy. Definitely a place we’d come back to. It would also be cool if they had guitars on the walls just to fit the name better.

The place is a bit hidden but not far from the harbour, tucked away in a side street. The first thing you see is the nice garden terrace, full of greenery, with lights for a romantic night out - the music will be a perfect backdrop. The second thing that jumps out is the display of meat in the cooled display beside the open kitchen. Lovers of meat, South American and Argentinian cuisine will find a lot to rave about. From Enchiladas to all kind of Argentinian specialties. And the desert is not bad either!
